I finally got around to getting photos taken of this finished hat! I really like it– it’s a nice cross between a beret and a stocking hat, making it “casual fancy”. (I made that up, but I think it describes it ok) It was also dead simple (hence the name, I think?), and fast! Plus, knitting with handspun is always exciting as you watch the fabric grow– the colours are so unpredictable. It’s like watching a painting being painted.
I’m wearing it quite back on my head, but I could pull it down for warmth
It’s a fantastic pattern for handspun, I think. Easy, fast, and well written– plus it’s given in a huge variety of sizes, from newborn to adult– and affordable. It’s $2. Even though it’s a really simple hat, I personally think the pattern totally worth the two bucks– it’s nice to just not have to think too much and follow a well written pattern– plus I’m always impressed by patterns that have such a huge range of sizes offered. That takes work!
