finally all spun up!
The Tour de Fleece really was an amazing kick in the pants for me spinning wise! (now I just need a kick in the pants for knitting….) This was originally a spinning fibre set I sold maybe two years ago by now, 4 colours, 8 oz total…I think. About the weight, I mean. It’s been a while. I really wanted to spin this when I dyed it originally, but, well, it sat in the bottom of my spinning basket for the last couple of years. So when the Tour de Fleece came around, I decided to try to clear out some of the fibre that’s been at the bottom of the basket!
Let’s see…from left to right, Espresso, I think Bianca? Not sure. Tansy, and Vintage Rose. About 650 yards total, sport weight. The question is now, what do I knit with it? I was originally thinking socks, but I’m not sure. Scarf? Cowl? Vest? Anybody got any ideas of what to knit with 650 yards of handspun superwash merino, sportweight?
Oh, on a self-shilling note, I just put up a lot of lovely spinning fibre in the shop. And don’t forget to check out the yarn — it tends to get a bit overshadowed by the fibre. It’s just as friendly though.
